BALDNESS -HAIRLOSS

Baldness, also known as alopecia, is a medical condition characterized by hair loss, often genetically predisposed, where hair follicles cease to produce hair, leading to a gradual decrease in hair density. Men are more likely to develop genetically originated baldness, while in women, it can be linked to various hormonal, genetic, or health factors.

There are several approaches to treating hair loss, but it's important to note that effectiveness can vary from person to person. Some commonly used treatments include:

PRP Injections: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment for hair loss. PRP involves drawing a sample of the patient's blood, then centrifuging the blood to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma, rich in growth factors, is then reinjected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth.

Medications: Two FDA-approved medications for treating male hair loss are finasteride (marketed as Propecia) and minoxidil. These medications can help slow hair loss and promote the growth of new hair.

Hair Transplant Surgery: Hair transplantation techniques, such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) or Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), may be considered to restore bald areas by transplanting hair follicles from denser areas.

Laser Therapies: Some low-level laser devices may be used to stimulate hair growth.

Topical Treatments: In addition to minoxidil, other topical solutions or lotions may be recommended to promote hair growth.

Hair Care and Lifestyle Changes: Maintaining a balanced diet, avoiding excessive stress, and taking care of your scalp can contribute to the overall health of your hair.
